WHO DESERVES THE GOSPEL?
Introduction:
-
The Jews were a prejudiced people. They had always been taught not to associate with other nations in the O.T.
-
But now grace has come to all people. (Titus 2:11)
-
We should never act with partiality. The Gospel is for everyone!
I. PREACH TO THE GENTILES
A. Peter had a problem with partiality.
1. As seen with the Judaizers. (Gal. 2:11-14)
2. He understood with Cornelius. (Acts 10:9-15, 34-36)
B. The Gospel was given impartially. (Eph. 3:1-6)
II. PREACH TO “UNDESIRABLES”
A. We do not decide what is “common” or “precious.”
B. The sower only threw the seed. (Luke 8:4-8, 11-15)
C. Jesus preached to all people. (Mk. 2:13-17)
1. Jesus taught tax collectors, harlots, and slaves.
2. The Pharisees thought this was unfavorable.
III. PREACH TO THE WORLD!
A. God does not show partiality. (Prosopolepsia) (2 Pet. 3:9; James 2:1-5; Rom. 2:8-12, 16)
B. We, like the apostles, are commanded to preach. (Matt. 28:19; Mk. 16:15-16)
C. Jesus died for ALL! (Gal. 3:8-9; 1 Pet 3:18)
1. Jesus died to purchase everyone. (1 Tim. 2:3-6)
2. Now all can be children of God. (Gal. 3:26-29)
Conclusion: Everyone needs a savior! Don’t deny them.
