VISUAL ACUITY

Introduction:

  1. Optometrists examine our eyes to determine our visual acuity or how keenly we can see.

  2. Spiritual vision is even more important. Without God our vision is impaired. We must examine our vision when it comes to how we are to conduct ourselves.

  3. The only way for us to sharpen our visual acuity is to submit our lives to the One who sees the whole picture!

  1. GOD SEES IT ALL!

    1. There is nothing that can be concealed from God. (Heb. 4.13; Job 34.21)

    2. He sees within man’s heart. (1 Sam. 16.7; Prov. 16.2)

    3. God is everywhere. (Psa. 33.13-15; Prov. 15.3)

  1. MAN’S SPIRITUAL VISION PROBLEM

    1. Near Sightedness

      1. What’s the problem? (Luke 18.18-23; Luke 12.16-21)

      2. Corrective measures. (2 Pet. 1.5-11)

    2. Far Sightedness

      1. What’s the problem? (Eccl. 8.7; Acts 24.25)

      2. Corrective measures. (James 4.13-17)

    3. Tunnel Vision

      1. What’s the problem? (Matt. 7.3-5; Matt. 23.23-24; cf., Luke 18.11)

      2. Corrective measures. (Rom. 12.3)

    4. Blindness

      1. What’s the problem? (Rom. 1.18-20; Eph. 4.18; e.g., Matt. 23.16-19; Luke 6.39)

      2. Corrective measures. (John 12.35; 1 John 1.7)

Conclusion: Do you clearly see God’s will and His plan for you?
